In Hafenpreppach, an urban district of the borough of Maroldsweisach, located in the Lower Franconian administrative district of Haßberge,
we set up the Hafenpreppach solar park in 2007 on a space which was formerly used agriculturally.
Near the main site of the IBC SOLAR AG, an open area plant emerged over a 7 hectare large area with a total power of 1,001.88 kWp.
The following modules were used: 15,870 Kaneka K60, 28 IBC-220TS MEGALINE and 256 Suntech Power STP 170 on tracking systems from Solar-Trak.
The plant has been marketed as a part project of the IBC Solarfonds 2007 GmbH & Co. KG from 2008.
The solar field can supply up to 314 average households per year with electrical energy. Thus saving the environment 527 tonnes of Co2 emissions in a year.
