Restraint system safety on our roads has continuously improved over the last few years. In contrast, the number of severe cyclist accidents has increased excessively. In order to counter this development, substantial efforts were made in the scope of a nationwide promotional project. After intensive research and development, among other things, this new vehicle restraint system was installed on the L 3024 between Feldberg and Sandplacken.

• No sharp corners and edges
• Particularly suited to use as a tree protection device due to the low construction width

The system is particularly well-suited to woody roads with a high number of bends and motorbikes. The construction has a system length of 4.00 m. It is implemented with pile-driven sigma posts at intervals of 2.00 m.
The proven box profile forms the upper system closing and thus covers the sigma posts. To offer protection from severe injuries the underride protection is positioned below this.
The underride protection can also be mounted on an existing single guard rail.
