To meet modern requirements of a combination of aesthetics, environment and traffic safety, we developed the barrier system LIGNUM-RAIL®.
LIGNUM-RAIL® (lignum = lat. ,wood') fits perfectly into the landscape and at the same time it fulfils the requirements of safety barriers according to EN1317, containment level N2. A transverse metal core is embedded into a 0.18 ms strong wooden profile which is linked to posts C-100.
The dynamic deflection is ensured, the vehicle is re-directed similar to a normal guard rail.
Only native woods like pine or larch are used.
All wooden parts are eco-friendly impregnated by pressure and therefore maintenance-free for many years.

An intelligent clamp fixing, which is used to fix the beams to the posts, allows a fast and easy installation of LIGNUM-RAIL®.
LIGNUM-RAIL® can be easily upgraded to incorporate a handrail. Terminals are available in 4.00 ms length either as approach or departure.
